may the sunset bless you throughout time, your visage becomes alive
when the sun sets and the water bleeds cherry-lime.
i trace love letters onto your stomach with sand,
the sun bakes you, yet you bask in the limelight.
you arch your back and spread your thighs with a precarious hand,
you moan in harmony to the waves, you promise that you have the right
to the rush of flames and his cool glances.
you flirt as if games and dalliances
were taught at the knee,
you quench my thirst, you satisfy all of his needs,
i wonder if you will ever know hows it feels to read about love, in a book, under a tree?
