In the chocking silence of my loneliness,
music has become my only solace,
my panacea in a world that ignores my constant pleas.
the singer croons my pain
as the drummer nods along on-beat.
A passerby, headphones tragically fastened
hums along to my agony.
A theater streaming with people
Eagerly ready to rock-out to my misery.
In the chocking silence of my hopelessness
the radio plays the song one too many times,
that radio plays the song one too many times,
a crescendo of emotions that drives me madder and madder.
the defeating silence, nauseating with its resoluteness.
muffles the struggle that wets my throat
As I finally sing along.
Yep, sometimes you don’t want to sing a long to a tune but you end up doing it. 🙂
