Crushed rose petals–

Crushed rose petals
Mean nothing without the prickly thorns.
A Ruined bouquet, scattered across
The murky surface,
damaged by cruel hands
Robbed from their roots by
capricious intent;
Yet you call this act love
While I deem it lust.
