Wild Indigo

Wild Indigo

i taste like sleepless nights and throbbing headaches.
even the crash of waves sounds like my name.
i am the one who got away; my smile is the last thing you will see.
even on vacation, you damn me. my hair smells of the tropics, skin
drenched in honey; i will never let you go,
even when you begged me, cried tears stained wild indigo.
