like a thousand blades–
They fall one by one. Flickering, fluidly as a fallen man, spiraling from the starless sky like a flurry of snow; tinkling on the earth like a child’s  laughter , and cutting the flesh like a thousand blades.
I hurt when your cruel words–
I hurt when your cruel words pierce me. My ready smile melts from my face– I become hollow as your weapon- of-choice rings true. Defenseless, weaponless, a pacifist in the game of laced-truths, yet you persist on. I’ve lost the fight years ago yet you strive on–
eyes that reflect the open sea–
A crashing wave fractures, splinters, bleeds a kaleidoscope of colors– a rich, poignant, dye– staining the ocean floor with myriad shades and florescent pigments– beguiling tanzanite, masteful cyan, and the pulsing heart of a ruby. a kiss shared by lovers–
a kiss shared by lovers can be the remedy, the panacea to the most tender, agonizing wounds. Gentle caresses can salve the deepest, roughest of burns, and the sweet, sweet embrace of a reunion followed by messy tears and tinkling laughs, can erase the shadows engulfing your heart within the passing of a wink.
