Love Uninterrupted

I crave a love so deep–                                          boundless, like a blanket of twinkling stars–

unfathomable and incredible–                       succumbing to another, seeing acceptance bright and vivid in their eyes–

earth-shattering and mind-bending–                 love’s perfume, drugging even the most skeptical–

that the young and old–                                          too young too love; too old for passion–

will walk by–                                                        monotonous lives interrupted like a DO NOT WALK sign–

eyes glued–                                                       distracted as life and its sheer beauty speed by–

iPhones out–                                               Big Brother’s brand-spanking new–mind-control-wallet-killer–

to catch us entrapped in love’s web–

Love, is a level that only the completely fateful

and lawless can only attain–

Fateful: Stick through the pain–

Love your partner the most when they cry,

hold them tight as tears wreck through their body,

tears, blood, and sweat,

a recipe for true love, I promise–

promise that love is the panacea for all–

Lawless: too fall in love truly–

you have to break a lot of rules–

curfews, embrace fully in sin,

passion is addicting, a drug

that’s only cure is more–

Love is like a fire– burns brightly, warm,

but it is also perilous–

It grows with care, branches and debris–

(compassion, perseverance)

But if you neglect it enough– it will burnout,

leaving embers astray-

those phantom fingers of pain lingering

Love can hurt, but people often forget-

It only takes one mishap, one little burn, to know–

But People often get frightened of love, the memory of the burn is too vivid–

But if you do it right–

That shit is magical.
